Thoughts Along the Journey - Verse 36 - Repost - Endure

Ebb and flow.  The tide at its zenith retreats and grows shallow.
What lasts and endures makes not an outer display of itself.  What grows strong, what expands and what flourishes will grow weak one day and diminish.

No effort is needed to be at one with the Tao.  It is aware of everything and recognizes everything It has created.

There is no need to compete and no need to be above another.  The flame of celebrity burns out and turns to ash.

What lasts and endures can only be found in oneness with the Tao.
